Manulife Investment Management appoints Myron Zhu as Head of Private Markets, Asia

Hong Kong – As part of its commitment to providing a comprehensive range of investment solutions for investors, Manulife Investment Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Myron Zhu as Head of Private Markets, Asia, effective August 26th, 2019.

Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Zhu will be responsible for enhancing Manulife’s Private Markets franchise in Asia, with a focus on developing and executing third party strategies that will distinguish its specialized investment capabilities to address investors’ needs.

Reporting to Stephen Blewitt, Global Head of Private Markets, Mr. Zhu will work closely with team members in North America to expand and deliver a diverse range of private asset offerings to investors globally.

Mr. Zhu brings over 20 years of industry experience to the team. He was previously Co-Head of Private Equity, Asia Pacific at Aberdeen Standard Investments, and before that was Executive Director and Head of Alternative Investments of Chief Investment Office, Asia at JP Morgan Chase Bank. He was previously on the private equity teams of DBS Bank in Hong Kong and AIG Capital Partners in New York.
