Jim Hall is President at Mawer Investment Management Ltd., which he joined in 1997. Previously, Mr. Hall managed Manulife Global Equity Class, Manulife Global Equity Private Pool, Manulife Canadian Investment Class, Manulife World Investment Fund and Class, Manulife International Equity Private Trust, and Manulife International Large Cap Fund, as well as serving as Chief Investment Officer at Mawer Investment Management Ltd. He’s a member of Mawer's Executive Team, which drives the development and execution of the firm’s strategic plans, and a member of the Board of Directors, which he first joined in 2000 and chaired from 2008 until 2023.

Before joining Mawer, Mr. Hall was employed by Wood Gundy Inc. in Vancouver from 1994-1997. He received the prestigious Morningstar Equity Fund Manager of the Year in 2010 and the Morningstar Domestic Equity Fund Manager of the Year award in 2015.*

He has a Master of Business Administration (University of British Columbia) and a Bachelor of Economics and Political Science (University of Toronto), and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. Mr. Hall is a member of the CFA Society Calgary.
